The Freemasons of Collingwood believe in supporting those in need, especially local children in schools who miss out on educational experiences and facilities due to economic and funding restraints.
In recent times, the Collingwood Freemasons have supported two local schools and the local Neighourhood House.
In 2012 we supported Abbotsford Primary School with $2,000 for a mural project. This money comprised $500 support from Lodge Devotion 723, $500 from Lodge Evolution 931 and matching funds from the Board of Benevolence.
In 2012, we agreed to support Collingwood College with $3,000. This began some ongoing funding for Collingwood College from the Freemasons, with our most recent donation to Collingwood College of $3,425 on 2017. In 2019 we reviewed and switched focus to the BANH Inc (operating the Collingwood and Richmond Neighbourhood Houses) donating $6,000 to that organsation.
